1500 million users open WhatsApp every day, so the annual list of devices that are no longer compatible with the application is one of the biggest screens in the world of technology. The interesting thing is that, this time, the list will leave out such emblematic devices as the iPhone 4. You can no longer create new WhatsApp accounts through the iPhone 4, or any other Apple phone that works with iOS 7 or a version Previous of iOS. As of February 1, 2020, the app will stop working completely in those terminals, forcing you (or a family member who still has your old iPhone) to buy a more modern device. Apart from iOS 7, WhatsApp will stop working in 2020 in Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread, the system that was presented next to the Nexus S in 2010. If your smartphone was never upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich or a later version of Android (and that includes some terminals sold as the original Samsung Galaxy Ace), you'll have to buy another phone. More pressing is the situation for users of Nokia S40 phones, which are still selling as an alternative to smartphones. WhatsApp will stop working in S40 as of December 31, 2018, so you will not be able to congratulate the new year from this system.
